When you are curious and play with words and puzzles, it can often lead to something different and more unintentional than what you had in mind.

A word is a word, and a riddle is a riddle. Or is the word a riddle? Or is the riddle in the word? Well, that's something we may never find the answer to.

But curiosity keeps us all alive. I can see curiosity as a form of light. When the world gets dark, it's curiosity that turns on little lights.

I may not find all the answers to my questions, but it's the search itself that keeps me alive.

Maybe it's my ability to ask questions that makes me freer than those who just accept things as they are.

I am 74 years old, and I refuse to let my curiosity die. I ask questions, even when the answers seem impossible. I seek knowledge, not because I lack it, but because I live.

Curiosity is my light in a world that often goes dark. It keeps me awake, alive and free. I do not accept superficial explanations, but wander on, wandering between the mysteries of nature and the illusions of man. I do not believe that curiosity is a weakness. It is my strength, my resistance, my freedom. As long as I ask, I am in motion. As long as I ask, I live.

I would say: my curiosity is not a disappointment, but a gift. It makes me a wanderer of thought, who can still see new horizons even when others close their eyes.

Purely Biological: The brain can continue to form new connections throughout life, especially when you challenge yourself with new thoughts.

Existential: Curiosity is a way to find meaning and ask questions when the world seems chaotic.

It can be disappointing when others don’t share my curiosity. Many prefer simple answers or avoid the big questions.

My experience of the world “going dark” is both a reaction to political and social conditions but also a recognition that we live in a time of great changes and uncertainty.

Here my curiosity becomes a kind of resistance: I refuse to accept superficial explanations.  That's all folks for now. Come back to read next time I feel the urge to vent my thoughts and feelings.
