When the People Lose Trust: A Call from a Man with Life Experience
I write this not as a politician or expert, but as a man who has lived long enough to recognize warning signs. I’ve seen societies change, and I’ve felt how political decisions can leave deep marks on ordinary lives. Today, I see Europe moving in a direction that deeply worries me.
Freedom Under Pressure
We live in a time where the freedom to decide over one’s own body such as forced vaccinations has become a political issue. Freedom of speech, which should be untouchable, is being eroded by politicians and media who seem unwilling to let the public become too informed. It’s as if truth itself has become dangerous.
Migration and Inequality
Europe has become the world’s leading destination for migrants. According to the EU’s migration report from July 2025, member states are now seeking better coordination and shared responsibility. But the reality on the ground is complex:
-
Social consequences include alienation, discrimination, and tension in local communities.
-
Economic pressure arises when welfare systems must support both newcomers and existing citizens especially in aging societies with fragile economies.
-
Unequal distribution of resources breeds resentment, especially when the elderly and sick face cutbacks while migrants receive housing, healthcare, and support.
When a mother cannot feed her children while watching others receive everything “in bags and baskets,” a dangerous dynamic emerges. Hunger breeds unrest. This is not a threat it’s a warning.
History Repeats Itself
France in 1789 is a chilling example. Back then, hunger and inequality drove the people to rise up. Today, we see similar patterns: public frustration, political detachment, and growing mistrust.
A Call for Reflection
I do not write this to stir unrest. I write it to prevent it. I’ve faced threats before back in 2011 - Norway, when I knew things that weren’t meant to reach the public. But I cannot stay silent when I see society drifting toward the edge. There is still time to slow down but it requires politicians to start listening. And that people are starting to demand that politicians have to serve the people who voted for them.
