A lung cancer tumor is not fun to be diagnosed with. But a very quick surgery solved the problem. I had angelic guardianship.
In December 2024, after a serious pneumonia that was about to kill me, I was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on the right side of my chest. After the pneumonia, I became weak quite quickly, so the message came very quickly that I had to be admitted for surgery on January 16, 2025
On January 17, 2025 at 8:00 am I was put on the operating table. I woke up again at 5:30 pm on the awakening. I was in terrible pain. The nurse gave me a morphine injection so I was relieved of the pain. At 6:30 pm the surgeon came to tell me a little about the surgery, and to check if everything was okay. I was told that the upper third of my right lung had been removed along with the tumor, which fortunately came out in one piece. Therefore, there was no risk of it spreading.
He told me that only 20% of these cancer cases could be operated on, so again I was lucky. I had to stay in the hospital for 3-4 days, then I could go home and live a normal life.
At first I couldn't do anything myself. And even after 4 months I wasn't able to sing. Now it's almost 18 months. The pain is gone, I can breathe normally, And now a good round of rehabilitation followed that also went well. My voice came back little by little, and to my great surprise I could actually sing better than before. And here is the result today. And I can say that the song Frank Sinatra's "My Way" is actually a suitable way to prove how well I have come back to life.
And I can only say a thousand times thank you to everyone who helped save my life. The last scan and tests showed that I am clean inside, no physical evidence of cancer cells in my body.
Life is a wonderful thing to live. Remember to take good care of yourself and your families. You never know when they will come to turn off the lights. So smile, sing and dance, enjoy life.
